Our feet can be easily forgotten! Whether they are covered in socks, slippers or shoes, all though the winter months our feet aren’t always given that much attention. In summer when we are more likely to walk around bear foot, or wearing just summer shoes and sandals, we may find ourselves embarrassed by the state of our feet. Hard skin and calluses may have appeared, little flakes and reminisces of old nail varnish, applied on that odd occasion you decided to have a pamper night are apparent, and the shape of our nails and cuticles show a lack of care and interest in the well-being of our feet.
However, to take care of your feet, is to take care of you, and at Nails Couture and Design we aim to give you the attention and care that you deserve the moment you come through our doors. Knowing how busy life can be gives us the desire to really use every treatment you book with us, and every moment spent with us, to help you to relax and think about self-care for a while. This is important, not just for our feet, hands, nails, hair and skin, but for our inner well-being as well. Stress and daily pollutants can build up, making it more and more difficult to take care of ourselves in ways that will truly benefit us.
At Nails Couture and Design, we specialise in nail treatments such as manicures and pedicures. You may think that these treatments have little to do with the build-up of stress, but studies have shown that caring for our feet can have a positive affect on all other areas of the body. If our bodies are well, our minds can filter out the stresses and strains of the day much easier.
This is clearly apparent in our nails. If you are tired, run-down and stressed, nails are more likely to show signs of wear and tear. Having regular pedicures can help to keep the condition of our feet in good order. Walking, running, hiking and such can cause a build up of dead skin caused by rubbing and blistering. Regular pedicures can keep these areas of concern cared for, stopping there from being any serious problem areas on your feet.
We offer a selection of pedicures to suit your needs. We highly recommend regular pedicures, as suggested above, to keep the health of your feet maintained. However, you may choose from time to time to change the type of pedicures you book. For example, if you have been walking more, or the winter is taking its toll on your feet, then booking business class pedicures, or our first-class pedicures is just the ticket. Our basic pedicures involve a foot soak, nail care and shaping, and a wonderful relaxing massage, perfect for giving your feet maintenance in the form of our pedicures, but helping you to relax and enjoy yourself at the same time. Our more luxury pedicures include callus peels and even a crystal massage applied all the way up to the knee.
